Recipe for an Awesome Weekend

Saturday: After a bit of unproductive college, add a couple of friends and drop by Starbucks. Follow with a football match and end the night with some junk food.

Sunday: Start the lazy morning with breakfast-in-bed (bacon & eggs, toasts, juice & cookies). Do nothing during the day except watching movies. Eat some more. (And kiss & cuddle if you can, because you know you'll miss it...).

Ta-da!!!!

"I love you" means...

"I love you" means that I accept you for the person that you are and that I do not wish to change you into someone else. It means that I do not expect perfection from you - just as you do not expect it from me. It means that I will love you and stand by you even through the worst of times. It means loving you when you're in a bad mood or too tired to do the things I want to do. It means loving you when you're down - not just when you're fun to be with. "I love you" means that I know your deepest secrets and do not judge you for them - asking in return only that you do not judge me for mine. It means that I care enough to fight for what we have and that I love enough not to let go. It means thinking of you, dreaming of you, wanting and needing you constantly, and hoping that you feel the same way for me.

Rapidinhas Cinematográficas

Acerca dos últimos filmes que vi (não sei bem porque me lembrei de fazer isto agora) e a quem possa interessar:

Millennium 1 - Os Homens que odeiam as Mulheres (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo)

Não li o livro, pelo que ía com expectativa indefinida. Adorei. Brutal. Que papelão da Rooney Mara. Não é que a história seja particularmente inovadora, mas vale a pena. 8,5/10.

A Dama de Ferro (The Iron Lady)

Talvez penalizado pelo facto de aqui sim, eu estar com elevadas expectativas, acabou por não ser o que eu esperava. Não desgosto de filmes em flashback, mas este exagera, ou pelo menos não o consegue da melhor forma. A Meryl Streep está muito bem, mas mesmo isso não devia ser surpreendente... 7,5/10.

As Serviçais (The Help)

Ok, este é comovente se pensarmos no quão real é. Gostei mesmo muito, e para quem gosta do género, força. As várias interpretações das criadas são brilhantes, e o contraste com as "patroas" é gritante. E sim, eu deitei uma lágrimazita... 8/10.

Hoje esteve um belíssimo dia de Verão... O que se passa afinal? Terei de marcar férias agora na Primavera, não vá o Outono antecipar-se também?? ;)

Sobre o Dia do Pai...

Só mesmo eu para:

1. Obviamente, me borrifar para o Dia do Pai (tanto como ele, na verdade);

2. Conseguir que a minha santa Mãe, de livre iniciativa, vá comprar as prendas para ele (uma da minha parte, outra da minha irmã);

3. Falar com o meu pai ao telefone e perguntar: "Então, que tal a camisa?", e ouvir de volta "Obrigado pela camisola!"... afinal a camisa - a única prenda que cheguei a ver - foi para a minha irmã dar.

O termo técnico é: FAIL!
